If you're thinking about living in Weston, you certainly need to check out The Lakes. It's a guard gated community off Indian Trace, and every neighborhood in here is named for a lake.

Welcome to The Lakes
So, The Lakes is off Indian Trace, just west of Saddle Club Road, and there are 553 single family homes in here. It's split into five neighborhoods, Cameron Lake, Verona Lake, Hampton Lake, Somerset Lake and Fairfax Lake.
The county shows most of the homes went up between 1992 and 1994, so this is one of the earlier gated communities in the middle of Weston. The homes run a little bigger than a lot of the neighborhoods around it, from around 2,000 square feet up to about 3,750, and the median is close to 2,900.
There's a community pool, a playground, a picnic area and an open field where the kids play soccer. A lot of the homes back up to the water, but not all of them, so what I would suggest is decide how much the lake matters to you before you start looking.

The lots in The Lakes are recorded on the Sector 4 plat, the same plat family as North Lake right next door.
