If you're thinking about living in Weston, you certainly need to check out The Islands. It's six island neighborhoods surrounded by water, and a lot of the homes are right on the lagoon.

Welcome to The Islands
So, The Islands is six neighborhoods, Palm, Orchid, Hibiscus, Camellia, Jasmine and Maple, and each one sits on its own island with water all around it. There are 726 single family homes in here, and it's in the middle of Weston near Town Center.
Hibiscus and Orchid were built first, in the early 1990s, and Camellia and Jasmine came a few years later, so the county shows homes going up from 1990 to 1996. They're bigger homes, around 2,000 square feet up to almost 4,900, and the median is about 3,200.
Each island has its own association, so the rules and the dues are a little different from one to the next. What I would suggest is pick the island first, then look at the homes.

School assignments in Weston depend on the address, so I always suggest you check the specific address on the Broward County Public Schools locator, because boundaries can change.

Yes. Camellia, Jasmine and Maple share the Islands at Weston Maintenance Association, and Hibiscus, Orchid and Palm each have their own. I always suggest you look at the HOA disclosure on the home you're interested in.
